Happy Birthday box & card for Gill!

As promiced, here I am with the card and box that I made for Gill. Here is the card:
I have used "Love Letters" papers and the "Artistic etchings" stamp set, this is not my usual style but I really love hos this has come out!
This is the box on it's own.
And this is it open: If you have followed me for a while you may remember this post here where I made a box for Gills favorite snack, fig rolls! Well I had to carry on tradition this year and although they were a little heavy they fitted in okay!
I have today off as I don't work Thursdays at the moment, although I am working on a really cool project for Papercraft Essentials so I will be finishing that off today!
Have a happy Thursday! xxx

Happy Birthday card & box for Teresa!

Morning bloggers! We are still having some lovely sunshine here in Sussex, best I make the most of it as I am told it is all over by Wednesday! I mentioned in my last post that it was Gill and Teresa's birthdays last week, I made them both a card and box to match.
I have used the "Playdate" paper range and the "Funky Four" stamp set. This is the close up of the card, aren't the little mushrooms just the cutest!
Here is the box, I'm not sure what the name of the box is called but I learnt how to make it at the lovely Maggie's class last week. (Thanks Mags)
This is the box open with some yummy chocolates inside!
These are a bit of a faff to make but really worth it when you see the end result! I really think they have the wow factor!
I also made the same for Gill but in different papers, I will pop back soon and show you all. I am off to work this afternoon and have an article for Crafts Beautiful to finish before I go so I had better start crafting!!!!!!
See you soon xxx

Teresa & Gills birthday cupcakes!

I didn't win at bingo so I'm still here and not on a luxury cruise!
It was Teresa and Gills birthday last week and as they were both at our scrapclub on Monday night I thought that I had better make cakes.....YUM YUM
These had a vanilla & orange sponge with chocolate frosting and a rice paper daisy on top! Oh and not forgetting some brown chocolatey glitter!
They were gone in a flash so I guess they were okay, I did have one (strictly for research purposes) and I must admit they were LUSH!
I have got the weekend off with Mr Wonka and we are fighting our way into the garden! Wish us luck, we may never reappear from the undergrowth! LOL

Papercraft Essentials Fishy Cards

Just a quick one from me today as I am off to see a friend today to do a spot of shopping and a bit of bingo! I know how to live the high life! LOL
I just wanted to show you some cards I made for a recent Papercraft Essentials commission.
They are not my usual style but it is always nice to pop out of your comfort zone! Although I pop straight back into it! LOL
They are made with a Sharon Duncan printable CD and some SU card stock.
I will pop back soon, I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Waterfall scrapbook layout!

I thought I would show you a scrapbook layout for a change! This is the layout that I created for the February scrapbook club that Natalie & I run once a month. Unfortunately I wasn't well enough to go but Nat held the fort.
It is just like a giant waterfall card but with picture mats on each flip over piece. I have used the "Love Letter" paper range from SU and some black satin ribbon also from SU.
I am off today as I am still working reduced hours, I am busy crafting though as I have a commission for "Papercraft Essentials" to get cracking on! I am really looking forward to these cards, I can't wait to share them with you.
See you soon x

January "Crafts Beautiful" magazine cards.

I'm back again! This time I wanted to show you the cards and mini wallet that I made for the January edition of Crafts Beautiful magazine.
I have used the SU stamp set called "Fun and fastnotes" and teamed it with some "crate paper" (sorry can't remember what the range is called!) to make a set of notelets.
The little wallet in the bottom left hand corner fits all the notelets inside and is tied up with a little bow.
I hope that you like them, I had better scoot as I am at work this morning and don't want to be late on my first Monday back!!! I will be back soon with some information on a craft day that I am holding with Natalie O'Shea on 9th April.
See you soon xxx

SHOCK HORROR! I'm back in blog land....

Hiya blog land! How the devil are you all? I am so sorry that I have been missing in action. I have been recovering from my new years eve op. As usual nothing is ever easy where I am concerned and there have been a few unexpected complications! I am pleased to say that I am finally on the mend and finally have the energy to blog again!
As much as I love my little Olive cat, I'm sure you are all fed up reading about her tassel exploits! So here we are, a card that I made for my cousins birthday last week.....
I have combined my two loves, Stampin' Up! and Penny Black! The papers are "Sweet and Sour" by SU and the stamp is called "Primp" by Penny Black. I love the bright colours and was really happy with how this one has turned out, I hope you like it too.
I have still been doing bits and bobs for the magazines, so I will be showing you some over the next week or so as well as sharing with you some exciting things that I've got coming up.
Thank you for not giving up on me and my blog, I really appreciate all my followers and can't wait to get blog hopping again soon!
