Thank you so much Tab for this fab award! I'm not sure how many I'm supposed to pass it onto so I am going to send it to Suzie Q, Diane, Marcia, Natalie, Kim and Sally Ann. If you haven't checked out their blogs before then go and have a peek! They are all so clever.

Saturday Challenge.......Stitching

This weeks Saturday Challenge was to incorporate stitching into your project. I would have loved to have used real stitching but my sewing machine is grounded and in disgrace for bad behaviour! It mushed up and ruined 3 cards last time it was let out from under it's cover so I thought I would leave it there for a day when I have more patience. I have used one of my Penny Black stamps called "The Essentials" and have coloured it with my watercolour pencils. The papers are from the Stampin' Up! "Sweet Always" range and the cardstock is SU "chocolate chip". I have made a little pull out section and added a greeting using my new "Oval all" stamps and punches! I appreciate you must be bored of my ovals by now lol but they are so handy, I would love it if they could bring out a rectangle set next! Finally I added faux stitching on the front with Doodlebug sew easy rub ons and I doodled the stitching on the inner section with a white pen.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

This week there is another supertrooper sketch by the wonderful Dawny, I do love her sketches, you must pop over to Papertake Weekly to have a look. I have used one of my all time favorite Penny Black stamps called "Poppy Fields" and have cut it out using my new "labels 1" nestabilities die. The paper is Doodlebug "ladybug stripe" and I have used SU whisper white and ladybug Bazzil to mat & layer. Finally I have used a couple of bits of Maya Road ribbon for the little tabs. I will eventually pop a greeting in the bottom right hand corner but as I'm not sure what I will use the card for yet I have left it blank for the time being.

A Spoon full of Sugar Challenge

I have gotten a little behind with my challenges so I am really going to try harder to get my finger out and enter a few more. This is for the A Spoon Full Of Sugar challenge. The challenge was "Easter Creations" I think this fits the bill nicely. I'm not sure what the image is as it was a gift from the lovely Marcea. I have teamed it with orange Bazzill bling and the backing papers are Forever Friends and Doodlebug. I have added some Basic Grey buttons and a greeting created with rub ons from my stash. The Oval and scallop oval are my new SU punches! I am in love with them so be prepared to see them on most cards for a while lol! Catch ya later x

Baby Girl.......

Mr Wonkas best buddy is expecting a little girl in the next few weeks, we are so excited and can't wait for the little pink bundle to arrive! All the prezzies are brought and wrapped and the card was the final thing to sort! I have used a Penny Black stamp called "Baby Hammock" and have coloured it using my water colour pencils. I have cut it out and layered it using my circle nestabilities and have attached it to the card using 3d foam tape. I have embossed the bottom using a "Swiss dot" embossing folder through my Cuttlebug and the scallop trim is created using my SU scallop edge punch. The greeting is a Pebbles Inc rub on and I have mounted it using the new SU oval and oval scallop punches. I really enjoyed making this and I hope they like it!

Penny Black Doodle Challenge

Here are a couple of mini note cards that I have made for this weeks Penny Black challenge . The challenge was to incorporate doodling onto your card.

I have used a PB hedgie clear stamp on this one with my SU punches and doodlebug swiss dots paper. I have doodle dotted in red pen around the edges.

Again I have used a liitle PB clear image with SU punches and some stripy papers from my stash.

Just a quickie....Hip Hip Hooray!

My fabby friend Suzie Q has finally made it into blogland. She makes the most wonderful cards and has been thinking of starting her own blog for a while, I am so pleased that she has finally taken the plunge! (only treacle left now...come on treacle :0)) It would be wonderful if you could all pop over and say hi! I'll be back later with a couple of Penny Black cards xxxx

Yummy Cupcakes!

As I mentioned this morning, Natalie held her cupcake SU class in my conservatory last night. Well if there is a cupcake class we just had to have CUPCAKES. So here are my vanilla and strawberry jam cupcakes with vanilla frosting.
I was really excited as yesterday as it was the first time this year I have been well enough to bake. It also meant that I got to put them on my Cupcake stand that Mr Wonka brought me for Christmas that had been sitting in the cupboard ever since.

All I need now is a magic spell that removes all the calories! Can anyone help with that?????

Stampin Up Best Wishes card.

This is a card that I made for Gill who came along to Natalie's Cupcake class last night. The class had been booked as a birthday gift so I thought a card was appropriate! I have used SU papers and a flower sticker from an SU "Love" Scrappin' Kit. The oval is created using the new oval stamps and punches and I have run some white ribbon along the bottom. I have finished it off with some white doodle dots around the bottom panel.

How do kids brains work?????

My little nephew has just popped in to say hello, I gave him a cake with icing on and it all ran down his finger.....he then said "Auntie look at this" he was very excited to show me how the icing had made his finger look like Father Christmas............... LOL it does a bit doesn't it.......bless him. He then insisted I took a photo and showed my friends on my crafty site........bless him. So as per his request here is his Father Christmas icing finger! I hope you all like it. x

Sorry I Frogot!

OMG I can't believe that I missed my cousins birthday last week, I am normally Miss organised and feel awful that I hadn't sent a card. So this afternoon I have made this "Sorry I frogot" card.
The frogs are Stampin' Up! I believe that they are now retired although they are still available in the current catalogue. I fell in love with them about 12 months ago when Caz demonstrated them at a local Stampin' Up! party. I have used Old Olive, Certain Celery & Close to Coco cardstock my circle and scallop punches and some Old Olive designer papers. I have also decorated the inside:

I have used the same as above with the addition of my scallop edge punch along the strip in the middle. I love the "Sorry I frogot" sentiment!

I hope she forgives me when she receives it!

Super Sunny Craft Day!

I normally craft upstairs in my craft room but I have been crafting in my conservatory today. Olive desperately wanted to join in (yes I know she is a cat but just humor me!).....she really isn't allowed on the table and I was feeling mean telling her to keep getting down.....so I popped one of her little custom made cat duvets (that's a whole different story! you thought the show tea towels were bad enough!) onto the table where she spent the afternoon sitting and watching or snoozing.
I was playing more than creating but I had a lovely couple of hours crafting away singing (badly) to the radio. This is one of my little makes today.
It is a little flip card made with left overs from my Petal Party "Simply Scrappin" kit. Well that's all from me in sunny Sussex! Hopefully be back tomorrow with another one!

Stampin' Up! Crop layout

I thought you might like to see the double page layout that I designed for Natalie's local crop. It is using the Stampin' Up! "Confetti" scrapbook kit. I designed it so that it was made in 8 x 6x6 sections. This was so the ladies at the crop could create a double page layout or bind it all together to create a mini book..

Forever Friends & Cupcake Craft Challenge

After making my Mums card for Mothers Day my friend saw it and asked if I could make one for her as well. This one has been made following the Forever Friends challenge sketch and it also falls into my interpretation of spring so I'm also going to enter it into the Cupcake Craft challenge. It was commissioned to be similar to my Mums but different. I think that this fills the brief! I have used another one of my Easter Forever Friends decoupage die cut sheets and the backing paper is also from the kit. I have added more swirls using my QK revolution flourish die and have finished all the panels off with pink stitching. The greeting is computer generated and the flower is from my stash. The brad in the middle of the flower is a sugar coated one from Doodlebug so that adds a little bit of sparkle! Only a little while now before I can share my exciting news! (I am NOT pregnant as previously suggested) xxx Oh and for some of you....I will not tell you what it is even if you pop in, text or email!!! NAUGHTY BLOG FRIENDS!

Friday Sketchers & Forever Friends Challenge

This weeks Forever Friends challenge was "St Davids Day" I had already got this decoupage for my Mums Mothers Day card so this was a perfectly timed challenge for me! I followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers as a template, if you haven't seen it pop over and have a look it is fab! The FF decoupage is out of a die cut decoupage kit and the papers are from a REALLY old DCWV stack. I have used my sewing machine for the stitching and I am pleased to say that it has been on its best behaviour, so much so I may even let it play more often! The swirls are from a QK revolution die and the greeting is done with my fave Doodlebug mini rub ons. The Daffodil was from my stash and the gems to finish it off are by Paper Mania. Lets just hope that Mummy Wonka likes it and doesn't check my blog!!!! Finally I have got some REALLY exciting news to share with you over the next couple of days so keep your eyes peeled.......................xxx

So Excited! Talent Spot In Do Crafts Magazine!

A few weeks ago I recieved an email from the lovely Clare Curd saying that she had seen some of my cards on the Do Craft forum and that she would like to feature me in her Talent Spot section of the Do Craft magazine. I was SO excited!
They sent me out a selection of the new Candyfloss & Marshmellow products and I had to make 3 cards and send them in.
The Forever Friend card that was on the DO forum is also featured. I was so pleased with the little bit in the mag and even more excited that my friend Tab was asked at the same time!

I am pleased to introduce to you my......

amazing new show tea towels! They are a gift from the lurvly Nat and they are PERFECT! Nat holds a class in my conservatory once a month where I am often ridiculed for my "show" tea towels. My show tea towels aren't taken seriously by my craft buddies, I can even go as far as to say that they even abuse them......... I once caught someone using one to wipe a spoon on...... & last time they were nearly stolen by a show tea towel admirer............ You will be pleased to know that these beauties will be under lock and key and only out on show for people who truly appreciate the joy of the show tea towel! Please tell me I am not alone in this obsession..........although I have a sneaky suspicion that it isn't as common as I would like it to be.........

Sketch Saturday & Saturday Challenge 2 in 1

I have decided to combine a couple of challenges today as there are so many challenges and so little time. I have followed the Sketch Saturday challenge sketch and The Secret Crafter Saturday challenge theme of transport. The image is Penny Black and I have used a mixture of Bazzill and glitter card to create the card. I have just added some doodle stitching and the greeting is a Pebbles rub on. I know it is a little simple and I'm not overly happy with it but we can't love everything all the time!

Elzybell Raining Love

I have used an Elzybells stamp and have coloured it in with my water coloured pencils and have paper pierced the umbrella, her dress and his t-shirt. The ribbon charm is from AMM and I have used the Cuttlebug heart embossing folder for the background. The scallop was created using the SU scallop punch and the heart gems are by Paper Mania.

I hope you likey........see you soon. xxx
