Olive coming in through the drive through!

You may all remember that Arthur is a very naughty cat! Well Olive has her moments too............ She likes to have her cat treats through the window so we call it her drive through, here is a pic of her coming in through her drive through.
She also walks around all the surfaces knocking things off if she doesn't get her treats quick enough! Naughty Olive!!! LOL

Craft Extravaganza Make and Take Project

Another quick show and tell today, this is the make and take that I made for Natalie & I's craft extravaganza day.
I have taken a blank coaster and made the insert, this would be fab to personalise for people on other occasions too...........
The penguin is made from the owl & bird punches and the snowflakes are from a discontinued SU stamp set. (slap my wrists!) The greeting is from Contempo Christmas and the glitter is the fantastical Dazzlin Diamonds!
I 'll be back soon with a picture of little Olive!

Springtime Vintage Scrapclub Layout

OMG I am such a bad blogger, I seem to start all my posts with that these days! Just a quick one to show you the layout that I made for last months scrapclub.
I have used Springtime Vintage papers, Rose red seam binding, scallop border, butterfly punch and the world famous top note die!
I was really pleased how this came out, if I was doing it for myself I would have actually sewn the page together but 10 people fighting for the sewing machine would have been a bit of a nightmare!
I have a few things to show you over the next few days so I'll be around for a while.

Chloe loved them and they lasted a whole 5 minutes at her birthday party!
I'll be back soon. With some pics from Saturdays craft extravaganza!

The July class is on July 28th at 7.30pm and is the "Mad Cow" class! Lots of yummy black, white and pink! I do have a couple of places available on this one so please get in touch if you would like to come along!

Flutterby Cupcakes!

I was asked by a friend to make some cakes for her to take to her sisters hen weekend and she wanted something girlie, chocolaty and with a bit of sparkle, this is what I came up with:
They are vanilla sponge with a chocolate frosting, embellished with some sugar butterflies and a pinch of edible glitter to finish off!
The hens were over the moon with them and I have got an extra couple of orders as well! RESULT! The only problem is as I forgot to make an extra one for me to munch on :(

I have used the "Party this way" stamp set with some "Sweet and Sour" SU paper, this set is so versatile I use it all the time. I have embellished the bunting with some adhesive pearls, if you don't have these yet then you NEED them!
I'll pop back tomorrow with a peek at some cupcakes I recently made for a friend to take on her sisters hen weekend.

So Excited!

Well I'm guessing that my invitation to the event of the decade has got lost in the post! So it looks as though I will be watching it on TV.
I have my flag up ready and can't wait to see her dress and have a good old nose at who's wearing what! I just hope that the day is free from protest and violence! Right I must go and polish my crown and get ready as Mum is coming over to watch it with me as Dad & Mr Wonka would rather watch paint dry!
I hope that you all have a lovely day off, whether that includes the wedding or not!
See you soon xxx

Penny Black March class card number 3!

Morning, ohhhhhh Monday mornings are the WORSE aren't they! I hate them! Oh well I only work a few hours this morning so hopefully it will go quickly!
This is the last card that we made at class, it is a stand up, pop up card. This is the first time that I had made one of these and I really love how easy it is and how effective it looks!
I have used the "Gifts for you" stamp and SU card and ribbon! The greeting is also SU and the flowers are by Prima. (sorry about the fraying ribbon forgot to do a tidy up snip!)
I am off to work, I hope you all have a happy Monday! x

Penny Black March class card number 2!

Morning bloggers this is the second card that we made in class, yesterdays and today's cards were both very simple as the last one was a little more complicated. I normally do it like this as I always make sure that everyone leaves with three finished cards and not lots of bits and bobs that they will never finish!
This one is using the "Prank Call" stamp, I love this one and it always makes me chuckle at the thought of the mice ringing the cat! I have again used SU card stock, Crate paper and a Craftwork Cards greeting.
I had better scoot Mr Wonka is cooking for Mum today, and I am on table laying duty! (as I can't cook anything that isn't a dessert! LOL)
I'll be back tomorrow with the last card from the class. See you then x

Saturday, 2 April 2011

Penny Black March class card number 1!

I'm off to work now (which will be MANIC!) but we are having a tea party later so am looking forward to that and hoping that my morning at work goes quickly!
See you soon, hope you have a lovely weekend! x

As promiced, here I am with the card and box that I made for Gill. Here is the card:
I have used "Love Letters" papers and the "Artistic etchings" stamp set, this is not my usual style but I really love hos this has come out!
This is the box on it's own.
And this is it open: If you have followed me for a while you may remember this post here where I made a box for Gills favorite snack, fig rolls! Well I had to carry on tradition this year and although they were a little heavy they fitted in okay!
I have today off as I don't work Thursdays at the moment, although I am working on a really cool project for Papercraft Essentials so I will be finishing that off today!
Have a happy Thursday! xxx

Happy Birthday card & box for Teresa!

Morning bloggers! We are still having some lovely sunshine here in Sussex, best I make the most of it as I am told it is all over by Wednesday! I mentioned in my last post that it was Gill and Teresa's birthdays last week, I made them both a card and box to match.
I have used the "Playdate" paper range and the "Funky Four" stamp set. This is the close up of the card, aren't the little mushrooms just the cutest!
Here is the box, I'm not sure what the name of the box is called but I learnt how to make it at the lovely Maggie's class last week. (Thanks Mags)
This is the box open with some yummy chocolates inside!
These are a bit of a faff to make but really worth it when you see the end result! I really think they have the wow factor!
I also made the same for Gill but in different papers, I will pop back soon and show you all. I am off to work this afternoon and have an article for Crafts Beautiful to finish before I go so I had better start crafting!!!!!!
See you soon xxx

Teresa & Gills birthday cupcakes!

I didn't win at bingo so I'm still here and not on a luxury cruise!
It was Teresa and Gills birthday last week and as they were both at our scrapclub on Monday night I thought that I had better make cakes.....YUM YUM
These had a vanilla & orange sponge with chocolate frosting and a rice paper daisy on top! Oh and not forgetting some brown chocolatey glitter!
They were gone in a flash so I guess they were okay, I did have one (strictly for research purposes) and I must admit they were LUSH!
I have got the weekend off with Mr Wonka and we are fighting our way into the garden! Wish us luck, we may never reappear from the undergrowth! LOL

Waterfall scrapbook layout!

I thought I would show you a scrapbook layout for a change! This is the layout that I created for the February scrapbook club that Natalie & I run once a month. Unfortunately I wasn't well enough to go but Nat held the fort.
It is just like a giant waterfall card but with picture mats on each flip over piece. I have used the "Love Letter" paper range from SU and some black satin ribbon also from SU.
I am off today as I am still working reduced hours, I am busy crafting though as I have a commission for "Papercraft Essentials" to get cracking on! I am really looking forward to these cards, I can't wait to share them with you.
See you soon x

January "Crafts Beautiful" magazine cards.

I have used the SU stamp set called "Fun and fastnotes" and teamed it with some "crate paper" (sorry can't remember what the range is called!) to make a set of notelets.
The little wallet in the bottom left hand corner fits all the notelets inside and is tied up with a little bow.

SHOCK HORROR! I'm back in blog land....

Hiya blog land! How the devil are you all? I am so sorry that I have been missing in action. I have been recovering from my new years eve op. As usual nothing is ever easy where I am concerned and there have been a few unexpected complications! I am pleased to say that I am finally on the mend and finally have the energy to blog again!
As much as I love my little Olive cat, I'm sure you are all fed up reading about her tassel exploits! So here we are, a card that I made for my cousins birthday last week.....
I have combined my two loves, Stampin' Up! and Penny Black! The papers are "Sweet and Sour" by SU and the stamp is called "Primp" by Penny Black. I love the bright colours and was really happy with how this one has turned out, I hope you like it too.
I have still been doing bits and bobs for the magazines, so I will be showing you some over the next week or so as well as sharing with you some exciting things that I've got coming up.
Thank you for not giving up on me and my blog, I really appreciate all my followers and can't wait to get blog hopping again soon!

Missing tassel?!?!?!?

I'm wondering if you would help me solve a bit of a mystery? I brought myself a beautiful table runner in the sales with gorgeous burgundy tassels on the end. I came down the next morning and the tassel was missing.......................... Who do you think may have done it? Olive seems to think if she doesn't look at it then it couldn't possibly have been her! LOL Naughty pusskin.....I have snipped the other one off now so at least they match!

For Mum and Dad at Christmas

Morning bloggers, now don't fall over with shock, this is a card that doesn't use an SU or PB stamp!!!!! This stamp was a gift from a very special friend and I had big plans for it over Christmas........you guessed it.....this is the only card I made with it LOL.I have the best Mum & Dad in the world (yes that is a fact, although I may be biased......lol) and always like to make them a special card. I wish the glitter function worked on my camera as this really sparkled and the picture doesn't seem to show you that all the baubles were raised as well. I hope that you liked the little blast back to Christmas, you will be pleased to know that I am all done and dusted with the Christmas show and tell. I will be back with a "Thank You" card tomorrow. Take care! XXX

All in the Family...........

Good morning, good morning, how the devil are you?, good morning, good morning to you! (My mum used to sing that to be every morning when I lived at home) Here is the card I made for Nat for Christmas using SU "All in the Family" stamp set: I have remembered all the family and am really pleased at how it has come out. I made four of these cards in total and they took me a whole day so as much as I love the effect I don't think I will do them for Christmas again! Nearly up to date with the show and tells, I will pop back tomorrow with Mummy & Daddy Wonkas cards. XXX

Christmas, New Year, and yet another trip to hospital!!!!!

Hiya, where do I start, Happy Christmas & Happy new year! I can't believe that it has been nearly 3 weeks since I have blogged and by golly they have been a busy few weeks! I had a lovely Christmas with Mr Wonka and family and was thoroughly spoilt, I am the proud owner of a new I Phone and it has taken over my life! LOL Christmas was rather cram packed as I had to see everyone as I had to go into hospital for an operation on New Years Eve.
The operation was the ninth (yes ninth!!!) for an existing condition and went as well as can be expected, although it took five hours in recovery to get the pain under control!!!! So I spent new year in a morphine haze surrounded by oxygen, drips and drains! After a few days I was home under the care of a wonderful Mr Wonka and I am now feeling much better, although I will be out of action for a few weeks! So although 2011 didn't start fantastically but I have a feeling it could be the start of something great!!!! So here's hoping for a healthier 2011!!!!
Here are a couple of the flowers I received, along with so many beautiful cards and balloons, thank you so much, I am sooooo fortunate to have such a wonderful family and so many thoughtful friends!
My dad has just dropped me off a new chair for my craft room as the other one was too hard for me after the op so I can finally go and have a little play. Hopefully I will have something to show you soon. In the mean time I will show you my final Chrristmas makes and a couple of other bits over the next few days.
Sorry that this turned into a bit of an essay, I just thought you would all like to know why I had been missing in action. I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and wish you all a happy, healthy and crafty 2011!!!!
Bee back soon xxx
