Bonjour Miss Mimi......

Good morning bloggers! How the devil are you all. I had a lovely birthday, thank you for all your lovely comments and for all my beautiful handmade cards and presents. I was so spoiled and received such thoughtful presents that I was a little overwhelmed to be honest.
It's all over now though so back to normality! Well not quite normality, we am having some work done on the house and my gosh I am all over the place, everything is filthy and I can't imagine ever getting back to normal!
This is one of the Mimi cards from my September Penny Black class, we made three different cards and I will pop back over the next few days and let you have a peep.
I have used SU papers from the celebration range and teamed it with some "night of navy" card. I love the navy and read colour combo and am pleased with how this one came out.
Right I am off to make the patio man a cup of tea and defrost my toes!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to me
Happy Birthday dear meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Happy Birthday to me!
Bet you can't guess who's birthday it is? LOL I do get a little over excited at birthdays!
As you may or may not know I do like to indulge in the making and eating of the occasional cupcake. Well one if my bestest friends decided that rather than me making them she would make some for me, she has never baked before and practiced all week! Here are the results:
I think she done a brilliant job don't you? They even have a superstar Z on the top! I was so excited to see them and even welled a little! LOL Getting sentimental in my old age! Thank you Lou Lou x
I will pop back soon and do a birthday show and tell! I am spending the day with Mr Wonka, I think you will agree a spot of shopping, a little lunch and a few cupcakes are in order!
See you soon.
Birthday girl! xxx

August Scrapclub Single Page Layout

This is the layout that I made for Augusts Scrapclub it is the only photo of me that I actually like so it tends to be the one I reach for if I need a pic of me (although I have reflection across this picture and it looks like my nose is 20 times larger!)
I have used "Lap of Luxury" papers and the SU Sizzix flower die. I was really hesitant to use these papers as they didn't really grab me in the catalogue but I was kicking myself for not ordering them sooner as they are DELICIOUS in real life! You still have a couple of weeks to get your mits on them so don't hang about!
See you soon xxx

Final Stampin' Up! class card.

Here is the final card that we made on Augusts SU class,
it goes to show what a shocking blogger I am as I held Septembers class the other evening before I had even shown you last months! I will try and get those cards on quicker! I have used all the same products as the first class, and have used the adhesive gems as well.
I am off to chill out as I am off to a wedding later, I'm really looking forward to it, I hope that I manage to last the whole evening!
See you soon

August Stampin' Up! Class Card 2

It may have taken me a little longer than expected but I'm back with my second SU class card.
I love the blossoms in this colour combination (Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy). I'm also really pleased with how the faux stitching had come out. I have embellished with some adhesive pearls.
I'm sorry that I have been a little quiet, I have not been too well (nothing interesting, just on going girls stuff) and everything is a bit of a struggle! I do have a couple of busy weeks ahead but I will try harder to pop back more often.
I'm off to prep for the September SU class, so see you soon xxx

Craft Extravaganza Make and Take Project

Another quick show and tell today, this is the make and take that I made for Natalie & I's craft extravaganza day.
I have taken a blank coaster and made the insert, this would be fab to personalise for people on other occasions too...........
The penguin is made from the owl & bird punches and the snowflakes are from a discontinued SU stamp set. (slap my wrists!) The greeting is from Contempo Christmas and the glitter is the fantastical Dazzlin Diamonds!
I 'll be back soon with a picture of little Olive!
See you soon xxx

Springtime Vintage Scrapclub Layout

OMG I am such a bad blogger, I seem to start all my posts with that these days! Just a quick one to show you the layout that I made for last months scrapclub.
I have used Springtime Vintage papers, Rose red seam binding, scallop border, butterfly punch and the world famous top note die!
I was really pleased how this came out, if I was doing it for myself I would have actually sewn the page together but 10 people fighting for the sewing machine would have been a bit of a nightmare!
I have a few things to show you over the next few days so I'll be around for a while.

Chloe loved them and they lasted a whole 5 minutes at her birthday party!
I'll be back soon. With some pics from Saturdays craft extravaganza!

Last card from the Penny Black June Class

Morning bloggers, as promised here is the last card that we made at the June Penny Black class.
The bear is now retired but I think you can get a smaller one on one of the clear sets. I have used an EK Success paw border punch and teamed it with some more Echo park papers. The greeting is by Craftwork Cards and I love how they fit the SU label punch.
The July class is on July 28th at 7.30pm and is the "Mad Cow" class! Lots of yummy black, white and pink! I do have a couple of places available on this one so please get in touch if you would like to come along!

Flutterby Cupcakes!

I was asked by a friend to make some cakes for her to take to her sisters hen weekend and she wanted something girlie, chocolaty and with a bit of sparkle, this is what I came up with:
They are vanilla sponge with a chocolate frosting, embellished with some sugar butterflies and a pinch of edible glitter to finish off!
The hens were over the moon with them and I have got an extra couple of orders as well! RESULT! The only problem is as I forgot to make an extra one for me to munch on :(

I'll pop back tomorrow with a peek at some cupcakes I recently made for a friend to take on her sisters hen weekend.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Morning, I hope that you all enjoyed your long weekend, I had a lovely lovely time, and feel thoroughly refreshed and ready to go again!
I have just remembered that I didn't show you this card that I made for my Dad, it was his birthday on Good Friday and this is the card that I made for him.
I have used my new "Flower Powered" stamp by Penny black and have teamed it with some "Celebration" SU papers and a Craftwork card circle greeting. The "Dad" has been stamped using the schoolbook serif alphabet and I have used some mini buttons o embellish from the new SU mini catalogue.
I am off to work today so had better get some washing on the line first!
