Ribbon scissors and giveaway!

I have been itching to show you this project that I made before Christmas for my friends at my crop that I go to in Eastbourne. Unfortunately I wasn't well enough to go along in December so I had to wait till last week to give them out, which in turn meant that I couldn't show and tell until after they had been received. This also ruined my plans to give a pair to one of my followers for Christmas, however everyone likes a belated crimbo present so I think we can still do a little giveaway! I'll give details at the end of the post.
I always keep a pair of SU snips to cut my ribbon with, to stop me using them for cutting other things and blunting them I have a little charm on the end as a reminder. So although these aren't SU scissors they are super sharp and have little charms on so my friends can save them for supper sharp ribbon snipping. I'm not sure if you can see very well in the picture but the charm is a little bar of chocolate, well what else would Mrs Wonka choose!
So if you would like to get your mitts on one of my pairs of ribbon scissors complete with wallet just leave me a comment and I will pick someone at random on Sunday.I will then contact you for your address and pop them in the post for you. Good luck!

Forgot to show you.................

my Christmas cake! I cheated 100% when making it by using the Delia kit from Waitrose and decorated it using ready rolled icing and marzipan and flower paste snowflakes and holly. ( I did make the decorations though so maybe only 90% cheating!)
This is the first time I have covered and decorated a cake and although it isn't perfect I am pleased with how it has come out. I can't actually tell you how it tastes as I hate fruit cake...............lol Mr Wonka assures me it is super tasty though! It will take him a while to get through it all............

I'd better scoot, we have got some good friends coming to stay for the weekend to see the New Year in and I have got 100 things to do before they arrive! I hope that you all have a lovely evening xxx

No he's not up there Arthur!!!!!!

Happy Christmas eve!!!!Only one more sleep!!!! I am all ready for action, the fridge is full, house is tidy the presents are wrapped and I could sleep for a week! LOL. No crafting today I'm afraid I  just wanted to pop on and show you this picture I took yesterday.

I had a friend popping round yesterday and put her and her sons gift on the fireplace for them, I think Arthur thought Santa had been and tried to see if he was still up there.............

Actually I have no idea what he was doing.....he is such an odd cat!

For the first time in years I am all ready a day early! So am planning a nice relaxed day today with Mr Wonka  although I expect he will be wrapping my presents till midnight! That isn't because there is so many but because he hates doing it and leaves it to the last minute! Last year he even asked me to if I could wrap with my eyes shut so that I could wrap my own without spoiling the surprises! What's he like.............

Before I go I just wanted to thank you for my sprout wreath comments! Someone asked how I made it, well it was just a polystyrene wreath ring and each sprout was lovingly hammered into it using cocktail sticks. Then the bow was added on the bottom using wire. So give it a go, I'd love to see your own sprouty creations! LOL

Right I'm off, Happy Christmas everyone, I hope that you all have a lovely day tomorrow, I'll be back soon. xxx

Happy Sproutmas!

Morning bloggers! I'm back again and only 3 more sleeps!!!!!!

I wanted to share something I made recently with you today. It is well known among family and friends that I HATE HATE HATE sprouts, as far as I'm concerned they are bogey balls of evilness (ok maybe a little harsh but you get the idea) but one of my good friends Anita LOVES them. I have had a campaign going for 18 months now to ban them and she is of course fighting for their survival! LOL so for Christmas I came up with what I thought was the perfect gift....................

Yup a sprout wreath! It seemed like a good idea when I started! I soon regretted it, my hands stunk of sprouts for days, I keep finding sprouts in the craft room and car! It is like the little green beasts are haunting me!!!!! I am pleased to say that she loved it, I can also guarantee that it is a limited edition of 1 as I won't be getting that close to sprouts again for a while!

I am having a slow day today, catching up on a few bits around the house and writing my list for Mr Wonka to do the big Christmas shop on Friday!

See you soon x

A little something for my magazine friends!

You may or may not know that I do freelance work for some of the most well known craft publications in the UK. I may not always use my favorite products, or use techniques that I am fond of but I am so grateful to be able to do a job I enjoy and I still get a buzz from seeing my work in print! Every Christmas I like to send my magazine buddies a little something and this is what I made my magazine buddies this year:

I have made a little desk calender, a keyring (designed by my Euro Disney buddy Jo) and a coordinating mini card. I have had some lovely emails, so I think they are pleased with them.

I am going to pop off now as I have a very important date with a very excited nephew!

See you soon xxx

Christmas Extravaganza Pines and Poinsettias Card 1

Good morning, more show and tell from the Christmas Extravaganza day. If you attend one of our days we always make sure that you end up with lots of goodies and this time everyone had the Pines and Poinsettias stamp set. Now I have to be honest with you, when it was agreed that I would be making the class with this set I was less than thrilled......this set isn't really "my thing" and I didn't have a clue where to start. However, once I started playing I fell in love with it and was really pleased with how the cards came out. This is the first one:
The colour combo for this set is Chocolate Chip, Crumb cake, Cherry Cobbler and Wild Wisabi. I have coloured the pine cones in with my SU markers which allows you to have more than one colour on an image.
The papers are "Holly Berry Bouquet" and are really nice, there are larger prints on one side and smaller prints on the other side. There really is something for everyone.
I'll pop back tomorrow with the second card. x

I have used a Sizzix die for the tag and have used the same colour combo as the other two projects.
I will pop back soon with my other class, a set of cards using the Pines and Poinsettias stamp set.
See you soon xxx
