Mrs Wonka update..................

I am so sorry (how many times am I going to apologise for not blogging??????) that I haven't been around over the last few weeks I have been really busy with crafting projects I can't share.........(How annoying!) as well as being at the hospital for check ups, bloods, pain management, new medication, a dislocated jaw (NO not too many toffees!) and numerous other ailments!Yes you are right I am falling apart! LOL So as you can imagine crafting has taken a back seat for a while! Right onto happier things I have just shared 3 days away with Mr Wonka at Tilford Woods in Farnham, they have log cabins that have your own private, sauna, jacuzzi bath, four poster bed and private patios off of the bedrooms complete with your own private hot tub.......it was a slice of heaven that we both needed! Here is our cabin: and our hot tub: We had such a lovely time, there were no laptops or mobile phone reception it was bliss! I am looking forward to today as it is my BIRTHDAY and I am having the family over and Mr Wonka is cooking one of his signature BBQ's! YUM YUM! I will be back in the week with some pics of my beautiful hand made cards from my crafting buddies and with a pic of my little nephew who started school this week, he said to his dad after the second day "Dad you will have to find me another school, as this one is a waste of my time as it lasts too long and doesn't give me time to play with my toys at home!" bless him! Right I am off to wallow in the bath and get ready for my day of spoiling!

Now that's what I call a rock monster cake!

You may have seen my post a few weeks ago with some rock monster cakes, although Kyle thought they looked okay.......he didn't think they looked like rocks!!!! So here are rock monster cakes take two....I feel like a bad auntie not thinking to make actual rock cakes first time round! He was much happier with this attempt. Hopefully the Lego miners can catch the rock monsters this time and I won't have to recreate the battle scene again out of cake! The things we do eh........

Happy Birthday Gramps!

It was my Gramps 95th birthday last week, he still lives on his own and only gave up driving in January! My Mum held a little tea party for him which he LOVED so I thought I would share with you a pick of the cupcake tower I made for him! The cup cakes were vanilla sponge with chocolate frosting (lots of it) topped with flakes or crunchies and finished off with sparklers!......ohhhhhh they were delish......although I do say so myself! Most importantly Gramps loved them and had never seen anything like it before! So mission accomplished. I hope your mouths are watering..............

Cheers to you!

Morning everyone, onto the last project that I made for the online classes. This was aimed at the men in our lives! Well for the man in my life, Mr Wonka or Beer Monster as he turns into on occasions! LOL This is using the "Cheers To You" Stamp set and "Junior Varsity" papers. In the class we made a bottle bag and 3 different cards. All of the projects came with step by step photo instructions and were easily achievable to re-create. I hope that you have enjoyed your little peeks, Natalie & Monica came up with some wonderful projects including a bird house, shoe gift box, handbag, sampler and a pop up, flip out and stand up mini book! Although the interactive parts of the online classes have now finished the site is available for another 2 weeks so it isn't too late to join in and down load the 10 sets of pdf picture instructions and watch the technique videos and view the AMAZING online gallery from all of Stamp With Us Summers members. Thank you everyone who joined in this time around! I hope to see you all again at Stamp With Us Winter!!! I will be back tomorrow with some cupcakes I made for a very special birthday boy!

In this class we made 3 cards, covered a notebook and made an ink pad gift box, which would be fab as a hostess gift for demonstrators or an excellent gift for a crafty friend!

I hope this hasn't given you a headache.........lol

See you in the morning with the final peek!

Stamp With Us recipe Challenge

Happy Sunday everyone, this is my card for this weeks Stamp With Us recipe challenge.
I have used "Wintergreen" papers which are a retired paper set but are sooooooooo yummy! I have been using these loads recently and have fallen in love with them! The snowflake and the greeting are from the "Season Of Joy" stamp set and the book plate is from the SU Hodge Podge set. I have finished off with a bit of doodle doodle dandying around the edge.
I have got Mama & Papa Wonka for lunch along with a certain little Lego cake maker so I had better go and sort the veg out! Have a lovely day whatever you are doing! x

A little snippit of the SWU retreat

As promised I'm back today with a few basic cards that I taught at the Stamp With Us retreat. These cards were 3 little extras that were made at the end of a scrapbook class, these cards and the layout were all made using half of Stampin' Up! "I Wish" scrapbook kit. These kits seem to go on forever and are such brilliant value for money! I hope you like them and I will be back tomorrow with this weeks Stamp With Us challenge card.

Lego cakes

I had my nephew for a couple of hours yesterday and we decided that we were going to make Lego miner cakes, complete with miners and rock monsters!!!! The sponge was green and the icing grey and here are the results........
This is a Lego miner complete with diamonds
This is a rock monster who steals the diamonds from the mines.......
This is a fight between the miners and the rock monsters
I hope you appreciate that I had to kneel in an ants nest next to the only rock in the garden to take these pictures as the little man insisted that Lego miner cakes can only have there pictures taken on rocks! So I really really hope that you like them........ See you soon with a couple of cards that I made for the Stamp With Us retreat.
