Penny Black "Christmas for Guys" Challenge Card

It feels like 100 years since I have entered a challenge other than the Stamp With Us ones. I saw the Penny Black challenge and thought ohhhhhhhh I'm going to have a go at that one! The challenge is "Christmas for Guys" and I hope that this fits the bill................. I have used "Christmas Tree Ted" and have teamed it with some SU papers and greeting. I am a little out of touch with my colouring, I think I need to do it more often as I really struggled with this today! I'll see you Sunday with the Stamp With Us Challenge. I'm going to pop to the shops then spend the evening watching Children In Need, I don't know why as I only cry all the way through!

Very excited to share with you........

I am so excited to show you this! I was asked to do some work for Papercraft Inspirations, this is the first time I have worked for them and I am so pleased to say I also have commissions coming in the next couple of issues!!! YEAH!!! This is the front cover of the magazine, I have got 5 cards in the Quick & Easy selection, all the cards are designed to be easy to re-create without having to have cutting machines or expensive gadgets. This was made using Doodlebug papers and Woodware Jane Gill hats & mittens clear stamp set. This is using Stampin' Up! "Loads of Love" stamp set and and some retired SU papers it is so frustrating as the commission was made before the launch of the new catalogue so I didn't know what papers would be discontinued! This is made using a Penny Black stamp and more Doodlebug Christmas papers. Finally this card was using the Stampin! Up' "Neighbourhood" stamp wheel with some more discontinued papers! ARGHHHHHH so annoying! I hope that you like them, and that you are warm and safe in this wicked blowy weather! See you soon x

Poo Cakes...........

These are some football cupcakes that I made for Natalie's sons birthday. He loves football & chocolate so what better than chocolate football cupcakes!
Well that was the plan but as I was piping the chocolate frosting on I noticed that they were looking a little Mr Whippy poo like!
Natalie did indeed agree that they were a little on the turdy side like but I can happily confirm that the boys all loved their "Poo cakes"!
Oh well back to the drawing board! Hope I haven't put you off your breakfast!
Be back soon

Happy 5th Birthday Darth Vader...............

......well actually it's my nephew Kyles birthday but he is going through a Darth Vader & Star Wars phase!!!!!!! I think you will agree though, he makes a fine Darth Vader! I can't believe he is 5 already! He had his party yesterday, Star Wars themed, he had told all of friends that I was going as Princess Leia, thankfully he had forgotten about that when I turned up in my very non Princess Leia like outfit! I was in charge of party games which also meant I was in charge of the bag of chocolate prizes!!!!! I did let the kids have a few lol! He couldn't have a party without cupcakes! This year he decided he would like Star Wars cupcakes! Quite a tall order but I managed to fulfill his brief! He said it was the best birthday cake ever! They have black metallic cases, with chocolate sponge, vanilla frosting, edible silver & blue glitter and a rice paper Clone Wars toppers. What more could a Star Wars fan ask for? Auntie certainly won some brownie points! I'll be back tomorrow with his birthday card.

Mrs Wonka update..................

I am so sorry (how many times am I going to apologise for not blogging??????) that I haven't been around over the last few weeks I have been really busy with crafting projects I can't share.........(How annoying!) as well as being at the hospital for check ups, bloods, pain management, new medication, a dislocated jaw (NO not too many toffees!) and numerous other ailments!Yes you are right I am falling apart! LOL So as you can imagine crafting has taken a back seat for a while! Right onto happier things I have just shared 3 days away with Mr Wonka at Tilford Woods in Farnham, they have log cabins that have your own private, sauna, jacuzzi bath, four poster bed and private patios off of the bedrooms complete with your own private hot tub.......it was a slice of heaven that we both needed! Here is our cabin: and our hot tub: We had such a lovely time, there were no laptops or mobile phone reception it was bliss! I am looking forward to today as it is my BIRTHDAY and I am having the family over and Mr Wonka is cooking one of his signature BBQ's! YUM YUM! I will be back in the week with some pics of my beautiful hand made cards from my crafting buddies and with a pic of my little nephew who started school this week, he said to his dad after the second day "Dad you will have to find me another school, as this one is a waste of my time as it lasts too long and doesn't give me time to play with my toys at home!" bless him! Right I am off to wallow in the bath and get ready for my day of spoiling!

It was my Gramps 95th birthday last week, he still lives on his own and only gave up driving in January! My Mum held a little tea party for him which he LOVED so I thought I would share with you a pick of the cupcake tower I made for him! The cup cakes were vanilla sponge with chocolate frosting (lots of it) topped with flakes or crunchies and finished off with sparklers!......ohhhhhh they were delish......although I do say so myself! Most importantly Gramps loved them and had never seen anything like it before! So mission accomplished. I hope your mouths are watering..............

Well for the man in my life, Mr Wonka or Beer Monster as he turns into on occasions! LOL This is using the "Cheers To You" Stamp set and "Junior Varsity" papers. In the class we made a bottle bag and 3 different cards. All of the projects came with step by step photo instructions and were easily achievable to re-create. I hope that you have enjoyed your little peeks, Natalie & Monica came up with some wonderful projects including a bird house, shoe gift box, handbag, sampler and a pop up, flip out and stand up mini book! Although the interactive parts of the online classes have now finished the site is available for another 2 weeks so it isn't too late to join in and down load the 10 sets of pdf picture instructions and watch the technique videos and view the AMAZING online gallery from all of Stamp With Us Summers members. Thank you everyone who joined in this time around! I hope to see you all again at Stamp With Us Winter!!! I will be back tomorrow with some cupcakes I made for a very special birthday boy!
