A much younger Mrs W!!!!

Here you go, as promiced, my fathers day present for Papa Wonka! (No laughing allowed!) He loved it and it now has pride of place where he can se it all the time LOL. That's all from me today, things are a little stressful in the Wonka household! Mr Wonka has the week off to decorate ARGHHHHHHHHH!! Last time he was on solo decorating duty , removing fitted wardrobes, re decorating and fitting new wardrobes it went something like this......... Day One : Wardrobes knocked out with a sledge hammer, forgetting the were attached to the ceiling, half the ceiling came down and we had a skylight to the loft! Day Two: He decided the easiest way for him to get the wardrobe rubbish (and half the ceiling) out into the back garden was to throw it out the back bedroom window......forgetting about the conservatory and garden furniture!!! Yup you guessed it, roof cracked and patio furniture smashed! Day Three: Windows varnished, varnished beautifully, but shut too soon and stuck together so a broken window pain whilst trying to get the window back open! In the end and a few hundred pounds more than expected he did finally make a beautiful job of the bedroom, I'm hoping things will go a little smoother this time, I am scared to come home from work! LOL I'll keep you posted.................

Happy Fathers Day Papa Wonka......a day late I know!

Good morning fellow crafting buddies, I am off to work in a mo so will make this a quick one. This is the card that I made for my Dad for fathers day, I also used the theme of Travel/Holiday from this weeks Penny Black challenge, well I needed one cool cat for one cool Dad:I have used a retired SU paper and yet another of my bargain Caz stamps (I have nearly used them all!). The "Dad" has been done with some of my American Crafts rub ons. I also thought you might like to see what I gave him, I got him a couple of presents. Firstly ever since I brought him some Crocs a couple of years ago he has fallen in love with them! He wears them all summer long but since the arrival of Rosie (Border collie pup) last year they are now some what nibbled! So I have got him a new pair. For his second gift, whilst having a sort out I found an old pic of us in a photo booth, taken when I was about 15, I have had it enlarged and framed it. As much as it pains me to show youI thought you would like a peep of a very young and much lighter Mrs Wonka................you would?..........well you will have to wait until tomorrow.......LOL See you then! xxx

Crate Paper "Paper Doll" Papers

I think that must have been the quickest bank holiday in history. It really went by in a flash. I was working Saturday morning then the rest of the weekend I was finishing off a wedding invitation order (still not finished!!!!!) If I ever mumble about doing any more wedding stationary please SHOOT me! It has to be the worst craft job in the world! LOL serves me right for making such a complex design! Before I started the invites I had just finished a commission for "Simply Cards & Papercraft" magazine and I used the new "Paper Doll" range by Crate Paper. They have the cutest papers and die cuts in the range I had a few bits left so have made a couple of cards to give you a sneak peek. This is the first one, I have just used both sides of one of the patterned papers and a white card blank. The white strip across the middle has been punched with the SU eyelet punch and the greeting is an old rub on from Natalies shed! I will pop back and show you the other one tomorrow. See you then xxx

Hiya, I thought that you may like to have a little peep at a notebook I made (well covered)for one of our online classes bingo winners.I have used the "Cottage Wall" papers and the new Razzleberry ink & ribbon. See you soon xxx

Say hello to Molly Moo!

This is one of the classes that I created for the last round of online classes. It is a 12x12 layout with a double slider element on it. The picture is of one of my best friends daughter, Molly. She is such a beautiful little girl and a joy to scrap. This is it with the slider shut: and here it is with the double slider element open! The papers are Pink Flamingo from Stampin' Up! and the title is made with the schoolbook sefif alphabet, which I love! Another short day at work for me today, I might pop down to The Range in Worthing later as I have finally chosen my wallpaper for the feature wall in the lounge! I will show and tell tomorrow!

Wednesday, 26 May 2010

Yum Yum Pigs Bum!

This is the wallpaper that I have chosen for my feature walls in the lounge. We are starting to redecorate in a couple of weeks and being the most indecisive person in history it does take me a while to make decorating decisions.I was wavering between brown & lime or brown and turquoise. Lime & Chocolate won!I have ordered a carpet in Mocha and we already have a chocolate/Beige sofa so hopefully it will all go in okay. All I need now is come lime accessories and I am done. Give us a few weeks to get it sorted but I will show and tell when we are finished.

Monday, 24 May 2010

Ohhhhhh how exciting!

I am really fortunate to be on the design team for for Papercraft Essentials & this month I am on the cover!!! (there is always a little buzz when I achieve this!) My commission was to use the free stamps that are given away with the mag, a little challenging as they are not my normal style but they are really cute and great to colour in! I'll pop back tomorrow and show you one of my projects from this round of online classes. Have a happy Monday, I have a short day at work today then more work on some super secret projects!

Stamp With Us Sketch Challenge

WOWSER what a scorcher we are having! I had such a lovely day yesterday, a trip to the shops, a catch up with a few friends, a spot of gardening, and a fabby family BBQ. Now onto the latest Stamp With Us challenge, it is a sketch challenge and this is the sketch that we have used for our inspiration: & this is the card that I have made: I have used the "Say it with scallops" stamp set along with the new "Cottage wall" papers. The ribbon is the new Razzleberry polka dot and the flowers are made using the boho blossoms punch. I am pleased how this has turned out even though it is super plain and simple! Sorry I have been missing in action recently, I am settling into my new job but it is all a bit of struggle at the moment fitting everything in. Hopefully things will get a little easier soon! Right I am off now as I am having a scoot round the local boot sale! Ohhhhhh I love a bargain! Have a lovely day and catch up with you soon!

Just because I care........Friday Sketchers Challenge

Good morning everyone, this is a card that I have made for a special friend of mine, she is having a really horrid time at the moment and just wanted to remind her that I am here if she needs anything!

I have followed the sketch over at Friday Sketchers challenge blog. I have used SU's Flight of the Butterfly stamp set with "Tea & Crumpets" papers, I wasn't too keen on these papers but now I have used them a bit they are growing on me. SU papers have a habit of looking fantastic in real life but not the idea book this is certainly one of them! The butterflies are done in So Saffron & Chocolate chip ink, I haven't used the butterflies with this colour combo before and I think I quite like it!

See you all soon.

Driving By With A Birthday Hi! Cute Card Thursday Challenge

Good morning everyone, I thought I would show you the birthday card that I made for my Dads birthday . It also fits in with the Cute Card Thursday Challenge which was to make something for someone special! I think my Dad fits into the special category!

It was actually his birthday in April but I forgot to photo the card so I made him give it back LOL ( I did return it after I had photographed it!).

I have used the SU "Loads of Love" stamp set matched with the schoolbook serif alphabet stamps. The "Dad" is a little wonky but hey ho, he liked it.

Right I had better toodle pip, I am off to work today (still sounds odd saying it!) so had better not be late!

See you soon x

Would you believe it!!!!!

I nearly had the fright of my life whilst gardening, I heard quacking and looked round and saw two ducks on the shed roof!!!! We live in a built up area and this was quite a surprise! The cats didn't know what to do with themselves, I think they fancied duck for dinner.............I grabbed the camera and took a pic to show Mr Wonka as I knew he wouldn't believe Donald & Daisy duck popped by to say hello! Just thought I would share as I know you like to hear snippets of my sometimes random life! See you soon xxx

I do take commisions for cupcakes in the local area (West Sussex) so if you have any parties or small gatherings coming up I would be happy to give you a no obligation quote!

I'll be back tomorrow with my Penny Black challenge card, I am really really making an effort to get a few more of the challenges done!

Sale update with pics!

I thought that you might like to see a couple of pics from the second hand craft sale that we held on Saturday. There were so many bargains, Penny black stamps for £1 and cricut cartridges for£5!!!! Everyone managed to grab a bargain! We all had a lovely time even though after a busy morning the afternoon was pretty quiet. As predicted we spent most of our takings buying off each other! My mum was the char lady, here she is next to her "Carole's Cafe" sign! She kept everyone supplied with tea and coffee and with her 9 out of 10 sponge cakes! (She only got 9 out of 10 as she lost a mark for not having more!) She was also selling Mrs Wonka cupcakes which i will share with you all tomorrow. All in all a good day was had by all, so good in fact we are going to do it all again later in the year! I'll keep you posted! Have a happy Monday!

This weeks challenge is a colour challenge and this is the pic that we were asked to used for our inspiration & here is the card that I have created:
I couldn't make up my mind if it was a blue of violet hut, I went with blue in the end. I have used SU dotty papers from the hostess pad and a greeting from the "Fun & Fastnotes" stamp set. The star is an SU punch as is the scallop edge! I am having a lazy day today after the craft sale yesterday, I will post some pics tomorrow for you! Have a lovely Sunday!

Papertake Weekly Challenge

It has been a while since I have entered one of the Papertake Weekly challenges. I do love Dawnys sketches so couldn't resist this one!

I have used a really really really old clear set of stamps called "Lazy Days" which is full of cats which is perfect for the special lady I have made this for! (well actually she loves dogs more than cats but I didn't have any dog images!)

We have had more fun and games with the naughty Arthur as he went missing again last week for 3 days! NAUGHTY BOY! He did smell a little of garage so I guess he was locked in one somewhere, I don't think he will ever learn!! The papers are from the SU Flamingo range and the greeting is from the "Fun & Fastnotes" stamp set. The silver brads are SU and the white glitter brads are from my stash. I am off to the craft sale in a bit, I have packed up all my stuff and am waiting for hubby to load the car! All the details are in the previous post so come and say hello if you can! Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Anyone that knows me knows that I am a massive fan of Penny Black stamps, and I love it when I get a chance to join in with the Penny Black Saturday Challenge I have a friend who is having to make some tricky decisions over the next week or so, so I have combined the challenge and made her this to remind her that I am here for her!

I have used kraft card & plum paper, the challenge was to use punches and I have used a circle scallop and two different circle punches so I meet the criteria for this.

I have got 3 commissions on the go at the moment as well as my new part time job so life is keeping me busy busy busy! I will still try to post at least every few days though!

Final layout show and tell.......

This was my last single page layout for the Scrappers Paradise weekend. It may look super simple (well it is really) but all the flowers and bird were hand cut from a different sheet and added to the scalloped patterned paper. So although simple it was a little time consuming! The papers are from the Sweetpea paper pad again, teamed with felt flowers and a few gems. I hope you have enjoyed my Scrappers Paradise show and tell, I will be adding some cards over the next few days so don't worry I am only a part time scrapper. Scrappers Paradise will be running again next April in Guildford, if you would like some more information please contact Natalie via www.natalieoshea.co.uk. See you soon x

Thursday, 29 April 2010

Sweet Pea single page Paradise layout.

This was the first of two single page layouts that made up my final class for Scrappers Paradise. This class was the last of the weekend and was a nice quick and simple layout so that the ladies could have another couple of layouts to add to their weekends work and a few spare minutes after the class to finish off their challenges and start the big pack up! I have used paper from the Sweetpea paper stack, stitched flowers and brown stitched ribbon. I have also added a few of the stitched circles amongst the flowers! I'll see you in the morning with my last layout for the show and tell! See you then xxx

Wednesday, 28 April 2010

Bella Bleu double page Paradise layout!

This was my second class for the paradise weekend .It was a double page layout using the Bella Bleu paper range and the Vintage Vogue stamp set. I designed it so that it could be flipped round and viewed from all different angles. It is quite feminine but you would only need to change the flowers to stars to make it masculine. I have the morning off this morning so had better scoot off and get some bits done before I go in. I will pop back in the morning with another Paradise layout using the Sweetpea paper pack. See you then! x

Paradise class Sunny Days mini book.

This was my first class that I taught first thing on Saturday morning, it is a triple double slider album designed by Andrea Walford. My word it was a complicated one!
It certainly frazzled a few brains, mine included, it is VERY complicated but we all managed to get it completed. This is how it looks when decorated. This is the back of the album, and this is the inside of the album with the three sections that flip up and down.
Sorry I didn't take a pic with the flaps out!!!! DOH It is made using the "Sunny Days" Simply Scrappin kit which is so bright & funky, I love it! I will be doing this class again at our July scrapclub in Crawley so get in touch if you would like to get more details or would like to come along! I'll be back tomorrow with my double page layout from Saturday afternoon. See you soon xxx
